#TheErratics by Vicki Laveau-Harvie (far left) has made the #2019StellaPrize longlist for extraordinary #writing by Australian women. Congratulations, Vicki! I'm bursting with pride for you. #writers #womenwriters #stellaprize #books #literaryprizes #booklovers

I'm looking forward to reading #LauraPurcell's #TheCorset in 2019 (published by @bloomsburypublishing). What's on your #TBR tower? ......................................................................... As for my to-be-read tower, I can't quite decide where to start: the new Oscar Wilde bio? The Corset? William Morris's News from Nowhere? Overstory? More Mitford? 📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚 #booknerds #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature  #bookblogger #bookphotography #igreads #historicalfiction  #bibliophile #booksofinstagram #booklovers #books #bookphoto #beautifulbooks

What were your reading highlights of 2018? 📚 Of the books I read for the first time this year, my top novels were Esi Edugyan's #WashingtonBlack, Andrew Miller's #NowWeShallBeEntirelyFree and William Makepeace Thackeray's #VanityFair (a classic I hadn't read before). 📚 My top non-fiction title was Gillian Gill's biography of Victoria and Albert, #WeTwo, but #DrJamesBarry: A Woman Ahead of Her Time and #MrsPankhurstsPurpleFeather also stood out. 📚 I hope you have a year of great reading ahead of you in 2019! 📚 #booknerds #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature  #bookblogger #bookphotography #igreads #instabook #bibliophile #booksofinstagram #booklovers #books #bookphoto #beautifulbooks
A facsimile edition of News from Nowhere by #WilliamMorris, based on the 1892 #KelmscottPress one. 📚 I bought this at the #LoveandDesire exhibition of #PreRaphaelite art from the Tate at the National Gallery, Canberra. This facsimile edition is a collaboration between @ThamesandHudson and the @vamuseum. 📚 I fear Morris, who loved hand-made books, would not approve of a facsimile, but I hope he'd be pleased his work is still read and discussed. 📚 #booknerds #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature  #bookblogger #bookphotography #bibliophile #booksofinstagram #booklovers #books #bookphoto #beautifulbooks
